We had a good trip to Nigeria in October, with Dr. Kanaka Paladuga (one of
our 3rd year Family Medicine Residents). During our 3 week trip, we did
over 30 surgical cases and ministered to many people at the hospital and
through local churches. Many people made a decision to follow Christ,
while others received direction and activation of their spiritual gifts.
Please pray about partnering with us in whatever capacity you can in the
fight against HIV/AIDS, and consider traveling with us to Nigeria on a
future trip. Our next trip to Nigeria is planned for the month of May.
Another is being planned for October 2006. Please contact us for further
information.
In response to the Katrina hurricane disaster, Congress has agreed to open
a short window of opportunity for charitable giving. The Katrina bill
removes limitations on charitable gifts made before January 2006. The gift
may benefit any charitable organization, whether or not the organization
is engaged in Katrina relief. Due to this, an individual has agreed to
match all monetary contributions that come in to MMI before December 31,
2005. Please consider sending MMI a tax deductible contribution today and
help fight HIV/AIDS in Nigeria.
From our family to yours, have a wonderful Christmas and New Year! In His service, BACK

Press Release - December 2005
We pray this joyous Christmas season of our saviors birth, finds you
abounding in His grace and favor.
I recently returned from the 2005 Global Missions Health Conference in
Louisville, KY, and I am re-visited with the magnitude of the HIV/AIDS
pandemic in Africa. The church has done little to assist in this
catastrophe with only 3% of all giving going to this cause. God has placed
this burden on me as I travel to Nigeria and the number of HIV cases
continue to rise. You can help. Through the Methodist Church we have been
allocated $27,500 of the needed $35,000 for the CD4 count machine needed
to monitor patients with HIV. We continue to seek support for the $7,500
balance needed to get the CD4 count machine, so we can progress in this
fight against HIV/AIDS. So please consider partnering with us in prayer
and/or finances to reach our goal for this CD4 count machine. Lynn
Scarborough has been an answer to prayer by donating Hepsyl to our
hospital in Nigeria. Hepsyl is a tablet that helps a person’s immunity,
which has been helping our HIV/AIDS patients.
As you share the love of
Christ with those around you...May His joy be ever present in you, His
peace always sustain you, His love always abound in you, and His destiny
and purpose be fulfilled in you.
